I'm in the paper! :)
Yesterday, the Sunday Tennessean ran a story in their local Arts & Entertainment section covering the ongoing Contrast art exhibition. Contrast is a themed show located at the Plowhaus Gallery, celebrating Black History Month.
The article included a picture of and mentioned "Robert Johnson" my piece that's currently on-display: "Meanwhile, Terrell Thornhill's "Robert Johnson" layers faded blue jeans, shredded Bibles and bits of grass and dirt from the crossroads into a serigraph of a familiar image of the legendary bluesman..."
The article and an image of "Robert Johnson" can be viewed online: http://www.tennessean.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2009902220307
ALSO: If you happen to be downtown Nashville, I currently have a collection of works on display at Dunn Brothers Coffee House, in their gallery. This exhibition will hang all of February and March. Artist's Reception for this showing will be Saturday night, 03/07/09 from 6-9 p.m. as part of Nashville's infamous "Art Crawl." So, mark your books and come have some wine and cheese. I'd love to see you there.
